2/18 Mardis Gras Special & Friday Night Lodging Special

What’s more Irish than Mardis Gras? Almost everything, but we’re taking the opportunity to give our treasured guests a pair of great specials! On Thursday February 18th we’ll be offering $4 Red Baron Punch in our 20 ounce Hurricane glasses, which were resurrected from 1995 when Water Street Inn was called the Lumber Barons. Jeremy will be pub-tending that evening and mixing up a delicious blend of liquors and fresh juices in our signature Red Baron Hurricane glasses. A blast from the past: keep the glass and bring it back during our 15 year anniversary starting November 2010.

Forget about Saturday, this week it’s all about the Friday Night Special: $129 will get you the best available whirlpool suite at the Water Street Inn which includes a free drink at Charlie’s, complementary breakfast and $20 to use towards dinner in the restaurant. Feb 18 Mardi Gras Ladies Night Out
Downtown Stillwater will host a Ladies Night Out on Thursday, February 18, 5 – 8 p.m. The theme for the evening will be Mardi Gras and Stillwater’s Main Street will be bustling with Bourbon Street frivolity including live jazz, food and drink specials and light hearted entertainment including card readers, fortune tellers and magic fingers massages. Area merchants will offer great discounts as well as activities like cooking and craft demonstrations and valuable prizes including the grand prize – a $100 Gift Certificate redeemable at area merchants.

For each $10 spent during the evening, ladies will receive a strand of Mardi Gras Beads, which will give them a chance to win the Grand Prize.

Swag bags filled with a “queen’s ransom” of deals, samples and freebies will be handed out to the first 50 ladies. Visitors may pick up their first set of beads and a map and brochure of activities and offerings at Darn Knit Anyway, located in the Brick Alley Building at 423 South Main Street or Valley Bookseller, 217 Main Street North. Prize drawings will take place at 8 p.m. at Maison Galleria, 223 Main Street South.

February 18th marks the first of four Ladies Nights celebrations planned for the year. The other dates are May 20, August 19 and November 18.

February 26 & 27 – Hounds of Finn

Hounds Of Finn play Irish Rock and roots music from around the world. It’s mixture of original songs written and performed by both Pete McCauley and Leslie Rich, sprinkled with some traditional Irish and Scottish tunes brought to you by both Michelle MacGregor on fiddle and Pete on Mandolin.

The taste is mild, soft, and with a touch of sweet oil and spiciness. Good background notes of honey, vanilla, toasted wood.
