To make Orangerie we begin with great whisky. We use a soft, sweet blend of Highland single malt and single grain whisky from Fife. Secondly, we use only the freshest, highest quality oranges and top class aromatic spices. Importantly, we zest the fruit by hand and use only fresh zest in our infusion. Only the hand-zested peel of really fresh Navalino oranges gives you the lively, vibrant flavours that are the hallmark of Orangerie.

January 3rd & 4th – Jennifer Licko

Recently awarded the 2014 Folk and Traditional Arts Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Jennifer Licko is quickly making Minnesota home and sharing her music with new fans in the Midwest. Originally from North Carolina, Jennifer masterfully combines the Bluegrass and Country music from her American roots with traditional Celtic music of her ancestors. “I find myself relaxing, enjoying Jennifer’s flawless voice and finding the roots that are similar in tradition to American Folk music”, Says Dennis Halsey from Best Female Musicians.

January 10th & 11thBedlam

Bedlam is a band born out of the talent pool of the MN Renaissance Festival. Over the years the band has had a diverse sound and many different members. Its recent incarnation is a folk band with a hippie attitude. Many familiar songs with a different slant along with some original material as well. As the name implies a stage with this group on it is not a very stable one and you never know who may show up and sit in on a set.

January 24th & 25th – Paul and Lorraine

Paul and Lorraine have been playing Irish music together for a couple of years now, starting with the rouge folk band Folk Underground and then splitting off to form their own duo.  Something for everyone lots of drinking, lots of losing your love, & happy little nights in the Pub. Not to mention some of the best Irish Fiddle Tunes going.  They like to take requests & will play almost anything, if they know about half of it.

January 31st & February 1st – Tom Dahill

Tom Dahill and Ginny Johnson are superb entertainers with a fantastic repertoire of old Irish songs and dance tunes that you won’t hear from anyone else. They have command of many instruments between them; Irish button accordion, concertina, uilleann pipes, fiddle, whistle, bodhrán, guitar and they sort of juggle these instruments between them to suit the sounds to fit the venue as they go along through their performances. This is the music that is part of the soul of Ireland.

 

February 7th & 8th – Bedlam

Cazadores Reposado gets its name from resting for over two months in new, small, American White oak casks (instead of used bourbon barrels).  Made from 100% Blue Agave gives it a rich aroma and flavor.

Our Anejo is twice mellowed during its crafting to achieve an unparalleled smoothness and a refined taste.  Aromas of warm caramel and flavors of honeyed toast, brown spice and dates.  Finishes long and smooth, with a sweet fade of baked fruits, spice and toffee.
