Based in the Twin Cities, the Northerly Gales are a lively acoustic folk ensemble inspired by Irish, Scottish, Canadian, and American folk traditions. Their core instruments include fiddle, guitar, pipes, bass, and vocals, but they enjoy adding harmonica, whistle, mandolin, bouzouki, bodhran, and more to their repertoire.
